Graphic artist and designer Alex Bermingham is responsible for First Fold’s branding and a range of visual media through the label. In particular, he has worked on the graphic identity which runs through logos, typography, colour and imagery, as well as creating the infamous Plague Doctor, who continues to infest the minds of others with his dark ways.

As well as working as an independent graphic designer and illustrator, Alex has previously been very active in Birmingham’s visual and music scenes. He joint created and ran the successful club night and collective Open Beats from 2006 onwards, and has been involved with a range of other creative events and happenings, such as Secret Wars, Rehash, Baskerville the Movie and Flatpack Film Festival.

Alex is also a keen cake eater, record digger and Funk enthusiast. He is widely known under the alias of DJ/producer Royal, playing out rap, funk and dub flavours.
